Part Five: Christmas

WELCOME Good morning!  Welcome to this service of worship for a Sunday that sees us on our sojourn through one of two yearly periods in the Christian calendar, that are sometimes referred to as “ordinary” time.  Given that this first such stretch of time involves Sundays immediately following the illuminating feast of the Epiphany, there really is not anything “ordinary” about this time.  Indeed!  Given that the Christmas/Epiphany season technically does not really draw to a close until February 2nd (Groundhog day, a.k.a The Feast of the Presentation!), there is nothing especially out of the ordinary about the fact that this morning’s reflection—on an extraordinary portion of The Apostle’s Creed—will, in a sense, take us right back to Bethlehem’s Manger.   On this far from ordinary Sunday, we delight in welcoming you to Trinity Church!
